Privacy Policy
Your screenshots, copied text, notes and files stay on your computer. Packtray does not upload that content to us or to an AI service.
Content in the app
Packtray processes collected content locally. Text recognition, annotations and secret masking run on your device. Dropped files are referenced locally and copied only when you export. Clipboard history is text-only, held in memory, limited to 20 entries and disappears when the app quits.
Trial record
The offline trial stores its start time and latest observed time in the macOS Keychain or Windows Credential Manager, with a local settings copy. This record does not leave your computer.
License activation
When you activate or periodically validate a paid license, Packtray contacts Dodo Payments. It sends the license key, a random activation instance ID and a generic device label such as “Mac-A7F2” or “Windows-B19C”. It does not send your computer name, serial number, screenshots, clipboard, files or notes.
Purchases
Dodo Payments is the merchant of record and processes payment details, billing information, taxes, receipts, license delivery and refunds under its own privacy policy. Packtray does not receive or store your complete card details.
Website
The Packtray website has no advertising trackers and does not set analytics cookies. Its hosting provider may process ordinary connection and security logs, such as IP address, browser information and request time, to deliver and protect the site.
Support
If you contact support, we receive the email address and information you choose to send. Do not send private screenshots, keys or files unless they are needed for your request. Support messages are retained only as long as reasonably needed to answer, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.
Your choices
You can delete Packtray sessions and local settings from the app or your computer. To request deletion of support or purchase-related personal information that we control, email us. Dodo may need to retain transaction records required by tax and financial law.
